Ammo Storage

So, um...Happy Holidays and such?

I had sketched this forever ago (back when there was not yet a Left 4 Dead 2), but only recently colored and scanned it. The joke (in case it's not clear enough) being that the survivors don't really have anywhere to keep all the ammo and pills they pick up besides...well...inside their bodies, accessed from various pockets. Seems the Witch has just discovered this little secret, and now Zoey's stuff is up for grabs. (In the second panel, the Witch is thinking to herself, "Oh, so that's where they keep all that stuff...")

It was pure luck that the screenshots I got happened to have a truck in a good spot for Zoey to fall against (hell, it went so far as to have the bumper catch her fingers to keep them in that position I had drawn 'em in!). It was also pure luck that the "SLASH" separating the panels looks kinda bloody...I had been intending to use the "Outer Glow" layer style, which would have only worked half as well to hide the seam between the panels, and looked kind of meh. Extra, invisible, uncleaned spots from scanning the lineart made the little spots of color that I noticed when I happened to be messing around and made the layer style "Stroke." Looked awesome, so I went with it.

Other technical details: The lineart was done with Copic Multiliners, the coloring with Coloursoft colored pencils, the background screenshots taken from Left 4 Dead, and the effects and a fair bit of editing done in Photoshop CS2. YAY PHOTOSHOP FILTERS.
